Library Director

The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library Board of Trustees (WV) seeks a future-focused, responsive, collaborative, and community-centered leader to serve as the next Library Director. The Director will guide daily operations, champion excellent patron services, steward the library’s financial and physical resources, and work with the board, staff, community partners, and local government to advance the library’s role as an essential civic, educational, and cultural resourcefor Marshall County.

Our main library is located in Moundsville, WV. We have two branches: Benwood-McMechen and Cameron.  Close to the main library is the Joe & Nellie Parriott Archival Center which is part of our system. Our system welcomed 41,021 library visitors this past year and has 16,674 card holders.

The library belongs to the West Virginia Library Network that has over 100 member libraries across 37 counties in WV.

Qualifications: a master’s degree in Library Science and/or Information Science from an American Library Association accredited program with considerable supervisory experience. Compensation and benefits: the hiring salary range is $65,000-$80,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.   A comprehensive benefits include: health insurance, paid leave and participation in the WV Public Employees’ Retirement System.
